The host Owl women placed all five of its scorers in the top-10, tallying 20 points and capturing its 10th consecutive Little East Championship.</description>

The women's 5-kilometer race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., while the men's 8-kilometer competition following approximately an hour later.</description>

      <description>NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Little East Conference office handed out its hardware for the 2008 women's cross country campaign after a vote by the head coaches. Keene State College earned at least a share of all three major awards as junior Rita Marcotte (Heath, Mass.) and freshman Heather Pierce (Buckland, Mass.) were named the Little East Runner and Rookie of the Year, respectively. Owls' skipper Peter Thomas joined University of Southern Maine's George Towle as the Co-Coach of the Year.</description>

      <title>Southern Maine Women's Cross Country Wins James Earley Invitational</title>

      <description>WESTFIELD, Mass.  --  Junior Carly Dion (Biddeford, Maine) finished second among the 266 runners Saturday as the University of Southern Maine women's cross country won the team title at the 2009 James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State College.  Dion was the first USM finisher, covering the 5,000-meter Stanley Park course in a time of 19 minutes, 23.92 seconds. Southern Maine took the team title among the 25 competing teams with 58 points.  Host Westfield State was in the runner-up spot with 88 points.</description>

      <description>WESTFIELD, Mass. -  Keene State College cruised to its ninth consecutive Little East Conference Women's Cross Country Championship this afternoon at Stanley Park with a 35-point victory over the University of Southern Maine. Junior Rita Marcotte (Heath, Mass.) was the lone runner in the 53-person field to complete the 6-kilometer course in under 19 minutes to capture the individual crown. The Owls have are the lone team to win the conference championship this decade, beginning their reign in 2000.</description>

The UMass Dartmouth Invitational is the longest standing cross country race in New England.&#xD;
