Keene State College ranked 13th nationally
PROVIDENCE, R.I.-The Keene State College women's cross country team is ranked 13th in the latest edition of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association Division III national poll released this afternoon. The Owls also hold down the No. 3 position in the New England regional poll.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Peter Thomas, Keene State College earned the program's first NCAA Division III Championship berth last season. The Owls have continued to build on the momentum after appearing on the national stage this season, registering top-four finishes in their past three meets. A Keene State harrier has graced the winners circle in all three meets this season, including two individual championships for senior Breanne Lucey (Keene, N.H.). On Sept. 22, the Owls earned a fourth place finish at the Iona Meet of Champions, which featured a field consisting of 13 Division I programs.
The USTFCCCA will release its fourth edition of the regional rankings on Oct. 9.
