Track Athlete of the Week
Jennifer Adams (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Senior, Keene State
College
Competing at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University,
Adams was the top Division III runner and fifth overall in the
5,000 with an automatic NCAA Division III qualifying time of
16:56.03. At the Penn Relays, Adams finished fifth in the 10,000
with an automatic NCAA Division III qualifying time of
35:03.33
Field Athlete of the Week
Crystal Blamy (Walpole, N.H.), Senior, Keene State
College
At the Penn Relays, Blamy posted an NCAA Division III automatic
championship qualify mark of 5'-7" in the high jump. The Walpole,
N.H. product also captured the New England Alliance/Little East
Conference Championships in the high jump on Saturday with a leap
of 5'-05.75".
Rookie Athlete of the Week
Kayla DiBlasi (Smithfield, R.I.), Freshman, Rhode Island
College
DiBlasi earned All-Little East Conference honors in the 100
and 400-meter hurdles this past weekend at the 2008 Little East
Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Rhode
Island College. The native of Smithfield, R.I. won the 400-meter
hurdles with a time of 67.26, while placing fourth in the 100-meter
hurdles (17.08).
Field Athlete of the Week
Bryanna Brown (Nashua, N.H.), Freshman, Keene State
College
Brown was the lone student-athlete at the New England
Alliance/Little East Conference Championships to register a toss of
over 11 meters. The freshman from Nashua, N.H. captured both the
alliance and conference championship crowns with a throw of 11.52
meters to best the 21-person field.
