Track Athlete of the Week

Emily Artesani (Orono, Maine), Sophomore, University of Southern Maine

Artesani earned a pair of first place wins this past weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational, winning the 100 and 200 meter events. The sophomore from Orono, Maine continued to shine in the sprint events, taking home top honors in the 100 meters (13.00) and 200 meters (26.23).

Field Athlete of the Week

Hattie Landry (Acton, Maine), Senior, University of Southern Maine

Landry collected a pair of first place finishes to highlight the University of Southern Maine Huskies women's outdoor track and field team's performance at the Mount Holyoke College Track and Field Invitational Saturday in South Hadley, Mass. The Acton, Maine product earned the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump. Landry turned in an ECAC Division III Championship qualifying time of 15.71 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles beating her nearest competitor by just over a second. She won the long jump with a distance of 4.69 meters (15-4 3/4). Landry also took second place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.14. 

Rookie Athlete of the Week

Briley Morrill (Whitman, Mass.), Freshman, UMass Dartmouth

Morrill crossed the finish line in a time of 13.71 seconds in the 100 meters to take sixth at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Meet, hosted by Fitchburg State this past weekend.

Field Athlete of the Week

Bryanna Brown (Nashua, N.H.), Freshman, Keene State College

Brown captured the shot put event this past weekend at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Meet with a throw of 38'-04.00".
