Track Athlete of the Week

Steina Fleming (Tortola, BVI), Freshman, Rhode Island College

Fleming won a pair of races this past weekend at the Coast Guard Invitational, leading Rhode Island College to the team championship. She placed first in both the 55 and 200-meter races with times of 7.46 and 27.81, respectively. The Anchorwomen captured the team title with 157 points.

Field Athlete of the Week

Crystal Blamy (Walpole, N.H.), Senior, Keene State College

Blamy posted an automatic NCAA Division III Championship qualifying and school record with her winning mark of 5.68 feet in the high jump at the Tufts Invitational. She broke her own Keene State College record of 5.58 feet set in 2006. It is the farthest leap in Division III this season.
