March 14, 2008 OXFORD, OHIO Keene State College freshman Rachel Mondello came up short in her bid to become the first women swimmer at the school to earn All-America honors on Friday. Mondello from Stoneham, Mass. placed 26th out of 51 competitors in the trials of the 50-yard freestyle race at the 2008 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center on the Miami of Ohio University campus. |

February 17, 2008 NORTH DARTMOUTH, MASS. - Keene State College ended the six year reign of Bentley College by capturing the 2008 Women's New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Championships (NEISDA) at UMass-Darmouth's Tripp Center pool on Sunday. The Owls tallied 982 points in the three-day meet to defeat Bentley (900 points). Bryant College was third (748 points) in the 21-team field. It's the second New England Championship for KSC which also won the title in 2001. |

February 17, 2008 NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. Senior Sarah Barber (Meriden) won the New England championship in the 1,000 yard freestyle event for the fourth straight year and was one of three Eastern Connecticut State University women to gain All-New England honors three times each at the 29th Annual New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II-III Championships which concluded Sunday night at the Tripp Athletic Center pool on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. |
