NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Little East Conference will hold the eighth annual women’s swimming and diving championships at 11 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the Tripp Athletic Center, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. The winning team will be crowned the Little East Conference champion for the 2008-09 season.

Keene State College has captured five conference crowns since the inaugural championship on Dec. 2, 2000 at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The Owls raised the Little East Conference team trophy the first three years of competition before the Corsairs snapped the winning streak in 2005. UMass Dartmouth also won the 2006 team title, while Keene State College returned to its winning ways in 2007 and 2008.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Keene State College, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Plymouth State University, and Western Connecticut State University comprise the five-team championship field.
