Swimmer of the Week

Jessica Wilson (Torrington, Conn.), Sophomore, Eastern Connecticut

In her lone meet of the week, Wilson won two individual events and a pair of team relays to lead Eastern Connecticut past Western New England College. The sophomore from Torrington, Conn. won the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke with times of 33.84 and 1:14.22, respectively. She has won the 100-yard breaststroke in six of her eight attempts, while victorious in the 50-yard breaststroke in all three tries. Wilson also swam a leg of the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.   

Rookie Swimmer of the Week:

Kelsy Doheny (West Haven, Conn.), Freshman, Eastern Connecticut

Doheny collected a pair of individual victories at Western New England this past week, winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestlye. The West Haven, Conn. product touch in at a victorious time of 27.08 in the 50-yard event and 58.46 in the 100-yard competition. She was also part of the winning 200 medley and 200 freestlye team relays.
