Swimmer of the Week:

Sarah Barber (Meriden, Conn.), Senior, Eastern Connecticut

Barber led Eastern Connecticut to three victories this past week with a pair of personal-best performances. The senior from Meriden, Conn. won all five individual competitions she entered, setting personal bests at Roger Williams on Feb. 2. Against the Hawks, she touched in at 5 minutes, 22.80 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle, while winning the 1,000-yard freestyle event at 11 minutes, 00.78 seconds. Barber also took home top honors in the 200-yard butterfly with a winning time of 2 minutes, 19.71 seconds. Eastern Connecticut has won six of its past seven dual meets to raise its overall record to 9-4 on the campaign.

Rookie Swimmer of the Week:

Amy Arisco (Wallingford, Conn.), Freshman, Eastern Connecticut

At Roger Williams on Feb. 2, Arisco recorded her best times of the season with victories in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley. She swam both events in succession, then followed immediately by swimming the final leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay. Earlier in the week, Arisco won the 50-yard freestyle against Elms.

Diver of the Week:

Chelsea Peruccio (Glastonbury, Conn.), Sophomore, Keene State College

Peruccio won the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions against Gordon College this past weekend. She scored 221.10 points on the one-meter and 240.86 points on the three-meter. Peruccio raised her three-meter score by 21.51 points from the previous week.
