Swimmer of the
Week
Kristine Trutor (Holden, Mass.), Sophomore, Keene State
College
In two meets, Trutor won five individual events and two team
races as Keene State College posted a 1-1 record. On Jan. 23, the
Holden, Mass. product earned three victories at Bridgewater State,
winning the 50-yard butterfly (27.22), 100-yard butterfly
(1:02.06), and the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.35). Three days later,
she recorded wins in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.23) and 200-yard
backstroke (2:13.98) against Division II Bentley College.
Rookie Swimmer of
the Week
Amy Arisco (Wallingford, Conn.), Freshman, Eastern
Connecticut
Arisco won each of the two events she competed in against Western
Connecticut on Jan. 26. She set a personal-best time in the
200-yard freestyle—touching in at 2:07.39—and placed
first in the 50-yard butterfly (28.82) in her first attempt. The
Warriors defeated the Colonials, 108-68, in their lone action of
the week.
Diver of the
Week
Chelsea Peruccio (Glastonbury, Conn.), Sophomore, Keene
State College
Peruccio won the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions at
Bentley College this past weekend. She scored 220.15 points on the
one-meter and 219.35 points on the three-meter.
