Swimmer of the Week:
Alea Paddock (Newbury,
N.H.), Sophomore, Keene State College
Paddock has paced Keene State College to a 2-0 record in duel meets
this season. The Newbury, N.H. product opened her sophomore
campaign by capturing the 100-meter breaststroke championship
against Brandies with a time of 1:11.82. On Nov. 3, Paddock earned
three individual victories and a relay win at Colby-Sawyer College.
She established a new Knight Pool Record in the 200-meter
breaststroke, touching the wall in a time of 2:37.68. This past
weekend, Paddock won the 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle,
and 100-meter individual medley at Norwich University.
Rookie Swimmer of the Week:
Megan Dyson
(Farmington, Conn.), Freshman, Western Connecticut State
University
On Nov. 10, Dyson led Western Connecticut to its first victory of
the season, breaking a pair of school records against St.
Joseph’s College. The Farmington, Conn. native set a new
Colonial standard in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststrokes with
times of 34.20 and 1:12.41, respectively. Dyson was also a meter of
the winning 400-meter freestyle relay team, while placing second in
the 200-meter individual medley.
Diver of the Week:
Rachael Battis
(Beacons Falls, Conn.), Freshman, Keene State College
Battis earned a pair of individual titles this past weekend at
Norwich University. She captured the one-meter seven-dive
competition with 126.65 points and the 11-dive event with 172.05
points. Earlier this season, Battis placed second in the one-meter
diving event with 194.90 points at the Bentley Invitational.
Rookie Diver of the Week:
Jenny Hines
(Quincy, Mass.), Freshman, UMass Dartmouth
In the season-opening meet, Hines register the lone UMass Dartmouth
victory of the campaign at Babson College, wining the one-meter
diving competition on Oct. 27.
