Keene State Volleyball Earns New England Ranking

KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State College women's volleyball team can add another first to its list of recent accomplishments. The Owls found themselves ranked in the New England Women's Volleyball Association poll for the first time in the program's history, securing the No. 11 ranking with an overall record of 14-4 (4-0 LEC).

"The rankings say something not only about what we've down this season and how we've battled through a little adversity, but also about where we're heading," said Bob Weiner, the Owls' fourth year coach.

Keene State, which defeated No. 2 Springfield College (3-1) earlier in the season, will face several poll teams in the weeks ahead including No. 6 Brandeis, No.13 Bowdoin, and No. 15 Coast Guard.

The Owls travel to Maine this weekend for the Bowdoin College tournament.

Since taking over the reins of the KSC women's volleyball program, Weiner have seen the Owls set a program record for wins in a season (25), capture a first ever Little East regular season championship, and earn post-season ECAC tournament berth.
