Men's Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Nick Santoro (Shewsbury, Mass.) Junior, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Santoro was the top UMass Dartmouth runner this past weekend at the Connecticut College Invitational, where he took eleventh overall with a time of 25 minutes and 51 seconds in the eight-kilometer race. 

Rookie Runner of the Week
Jeremy Francisco (Dartmouth, Mass.) University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Francisco continued his impressive rookie campaign, taking home the top rookie conference honors for the third time in as many weeks. The Dartmouth, Mass. native was UMass Dartmouth's third place runner at the Connecticut College Invitational, where he posted a 47th overall finish with a time of 26 minutes and 45 seconds in the eight-kilometer race. 

Women's Cross Country

Runner of the Week
Katie Desrosiers (Warwick, R.I.) Junior, Rhode Island College

Desrosiers was the Rhode Island College's top runner this past week, placing 66th out of 207 runners at the Cod Fish Bowl. She covered the five-kilometer course in 20 minutes and 40 seconds to help Anchorwomen take 15th in the team standings.

Rookie Runner of the Week
Cora Gingras (East Hampton, Conn.), Freshman, Eastern Connecticut State University

Gingras was the second Eastern Connecticut harrier to cross the six-kilometer finish line at the Connecticut College Invitational this past weekend. The East Hampton, Conn. product placed 80th overall with a time of 25 minutes and 56 seconds.
