Male Runner of the Week

Curtis Wheeler (Derby, Vt.), Senior, University of Southern Maine

Wheeler led Southern Maine to a top-20 finish at the 2007 NEIcAAA Cross Country Championship. He covered the 4.95 mile course in 25:45 to finish as the fourth Division III runner in a highly competitive field, which features harriers from the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels. The Huskies are ranked 23 rd in the latest NEIcAAA New England Poll and were sixth Division III team in the race.       

Female Runner of the Week

Jennifer Adams (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Senior, Keene State College

Adams was the top Division III finisher at the NEIcAAA Cross Country Championships this past weekend. The Saratoga Springs, N.Y. product covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:11, earning a fifth place overall finish.
