Male Runner of the Week

Mike Leavitt (Brockton, Mass.), Senior, University of Mass Boston

Leavitt placed fifth at the 40th annual New England Codfish Bowl this past weekend. The Brockton, Mass. native crossed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 27:15 to lead UMass Boston to a fourth place finish, defeating three other squads.      

Female Runner of the Week

Breanne Lucey (Keene, N.H.), Senior, Keene State College

Lucey captured the Paddy Doyle Iona Meet of Champions title this past weekend. She covered the six-kilometer course in a winning time of 21:30, defeating a field of 13 Division I institutions. Lucey earned her second straight victory of the season, claiming the Dartmouth Invitational earlier on the campaign.
