Male Runner of the Week
Curtis Wheeler (Derby, Vt.), Senior, University of Southern Maine

Wheeler opened the season earning a first-place finish at the 2007 University of New England Invitational. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 27:48, narrowly edging his twin brother by 59 seconds. Wheeler was the first Huskies harrier to cross the finish line as Southern Maine claimed the top-four spots and the race with 18 team points.

Female Runner of the Week
Breanne Lucey (Keene, N.H.), Senior, Keene State College

Lucey, a 2006 All-American, made her 2007 debut with a first-place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational. She covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:48.90. Keene State College registered 69 points, earning a share of third place.
