Men's Track and Field

Track Athlete of the Week:

Chris Jodoin (Uxbridge, Mass.), Senior, UMass Dartmouth
Jodoin placed 10th in the 500-meter race at the Harvard University Invitational this past weekend. He crossed the finished line in a time of 1:07.54, defeating all other Division III competitors in the field. He was on the verge of breaking the program's record if he hadn't spiked in the middle of the race.

Field Athlete of the Week:

Nick Phillips (Portland, Maine), Freshman, University of Southern Maine

Phillips provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships in March with his winning leap of six fee, seven inches in the high jump to highlight an impressive showing by the University of Southern Maine at the Costello Sports Complex Field House. He was one of nine first-place finishes for the Huskies as they won the three-team event with 66 total points.

Women's Track and Field

Track Athlete of the Week:

Laura Kintz (Jaffrey, N.H.), Senior, Keene State College

Kintz was a double winner for Keene State College this past weekend at the Smith College Invitational. She earned victories in the 55-meter dash (7.52) and the 200-meter (27.45). Kintz and her teammates also won the 4 X 400 relay with a time of 4:29.39.

Field Athlete of the Week:

Mary Ellen Horsman (Barrington, R.I.), Junior, Rhode Island College

Horsman finished sixth in a highly-competitive field at the Harvard University Invitational this past weekend in the weight throw. She tossed the weight 12.36 meters (40.5 feet).
