BOSTON - Seniors Jon Garcia (Stoneham, Mass./Stoneham HS) and Chris Jodoin (Uxbridge, Mass./Maine) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's track and field team won their events on the second and final day of the New England Division III Championships at Harvard's Gordon Track Saturday.

Garcia won the 55 meter hurdles in 7.46 seconds, while Jodoin broke the school record and turned in a personal best time in winning at 500 meters in 1:05.31.

"All week, we were working with Jon on his start," said Assistant Coach Jameson Barber. "He got it together, and he won the race. Chris knew this was going to be his last race, and he went out there and ran his race, and he did very well."

Garcia will represent the Corsairs at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships next weekend.
