MANSFIELD, Conn. - On Seniors' Day, senior Maxim Fantl (West Hartford, Conn.) recorded his 100th career point and senior Nicholas Boretti (Marshfield, Mass.) totaled a career-high five points to lift men's soccer to a key 3-1 Little East Conference win over Rhode Island College Sunday afternoon at the Mansfield Outdoor Complex. With the win, Eastern (9-4-1, 3-1-0 little east) pulls into a tie for second place with Rhode Island (5-7-2, 3-2-0 little east), both clubs trailing Keene State College.

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. The Eastern Connecticut State University mens soccer team equaled its highest national ranking ever when it moved up three spots to No. 13 in the third weekly NSCAA Division III national ranking, released Tuesday. On the strength of home wins over Tufts University (3-2 in sudden death) and Western Connecticut State University (4-0), the Warriors reached their highest ranking every, which was set during last years 14-game unbeaten streak.

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. For the first time in program history, Eastern Connecticut State University has been predicted to capture the Little East Conference mens soccer championship outright after each of the eight head coaches casted a vote in the annual preseason poll. In 2008, the Warriors shared the top preseason billing with Keene State College. Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island College each finished in the top three on all eight ballots, but the Warriors earned three first-place votes and 57 total points to edge the Anchormen.
