10 Little East players named to NSCAA All-Region teams

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Ten Little East Conference men's soccer players were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III New England All-Region teams. Keene State College paced the conference with four selections, while Eastern Connecticut State University and the University of Southern Maine earned multiple honors.

Rhode Island College sophomore defender Ryan Kelley (Hope, R.I.) and Huskies junior striker Sinisa Bajic (Portland, Maine) eached earned second team honors, while UMass Boston junior midfielder Romeo Zeqo (Malden, Mass.), Warrior sophomore forward Maxim Fantl (West Hartford, Conn.) and Owl junior Alex Horne (Harvard, Mass.) graced the third team.

The Keene State College trio of seniors defender Gabe Bergeron (Hope Valley, Alaska) and midfielder Caleb Paterson (Barrington, N.H.) and sophomore forward Michael Cooley (Northboro, Mass.) join Eastern Connecticut senior goalkeeper Jay Barney (Storrs, Conn.) and Southern Maine junior midfielder Greg Cox (West Roxbury, Mass.) on the fourth team.

Horne and Zeqo are making their second appearance on the all-region teams. Horne was named to the second team last fall, while Zeqo earned third team honors.
