Most Outstanding Player:

Jay Barney (Mansfield, Conn.), Senior, GK, Eastern Connecticut

Barney backstopped Eastern Connecticut to the Little East Conference Tournament Championship this past weekend, posting a pair of shutout victories against Rhode Island College and Keene State College. In the championship match, the Mansfield, Conn. product made nine saves and stopped a pair of penalty kicks as the Warriors edged the Owls. Barney leads the conference circuit in goals against average (0.61), save percentage (.891), and shutouts (7). Eastern Connecticut makes its first appearance in the postseason since the 1992 squad participated in the ECAC New England Tournament.
