Matt Johnson Selected To Senior Lacrosse All-Star Game

KEENE, N.H. – Keene State’s Matt
Johnson is going to Harvard. The Owls’ standout
goalie from Derry, N.H., has been selected to play in the play in
the prestigious USILA North-South Senior All-Star game at Harvard
Stadium on Saturday. Face-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
A four-year starter in goal for the Owls, Johnson posted a 7.58 GAA
and .629 SV% on the way to earning his third straight Little East
Defensive player of the year honor. Finishing second in the LEC,
Keene State (9-3) was upset by Western Conn in the semifinals of
the conference tournament.
The All-Star game is part of a big lacrosse weekend in the Boston
area, with all three men’s NCAA championships being decided
at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Johnson is the second KSC player to receive an invitation to play
in the game. Attack Eric Momnie played in the 2005 contest.
