Brandon Shelton Earns Preseason All-American Honors

BEAVERTON, Ore.–Senior forward Brandon Shelton (Cambridge, Mass.) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men’s basketball team has earned a preseason honor. Shelton was named a preseason All-American by the Division III News. He’s the second UMass Dartmouth player to earn preseason national honors, joining senior forward Chris Lapriore (Grafton, Mass.).

BEAVERTON, Ore.-The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men’s basketball team has been picked sixth in the annual Division III News pre-season men’s basketball poll. UMass Dartmouth was the only Little East Conference team ranked in the publication’s pre-season top 25. Rhode Island College is among teams listed as others to watch.
Tyler Kathan Signs Professional Basketball Contract To Play in England

KEENE, N.H. -- Former Keene State College men's basketball player Tyler Kathan, signed a contract to split time between the Leicester Warriors and the Northampton Neptunes of the England Basketball League (EBL) Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors will make the transition from Division II to Division I, while the Neptunes compete in Division II for the 2009-2010 season. The Ludlow, Vermont native isn't nervous about going to play in England and has his family's blessing too. "I'm just really excited," said Kathan.
