3 Owls named to all-region teams

KEENE, N.H. - Keene State College placed
three players on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association
(NFHCA) New England-West All-Region team announced on Monday.
Junior back Alyssa Rowell (Queensbury, N.Y.) and
sophomore midfielder Erin Dallas (Keene, N.H.)
were named to the first-team, while senior Marissa
Boccaccio (Lyme, Conn.) was a second-team selection.
Named to the team for the first time, Rowell anchored an Owls
defense that posted eight shutouts this season. The Little East
defensive player of the year had a conference best 13 defensive
saves and also contributed offensively with four goals, three
assists, and 11 points.
Dallas, the LEC's co-ofensive player of the year, has had a
fantastic first season with the Owls. The University of Michigan
transfer has 13 goals, shares the NCAA lead with 19 assists, and a
team high 45 points. She netted both goals in the Owls' 2-1
overtime win against Southern Maine in the LEC finals.
A standout at midfield for the Owls, Boccaccio is a two time
recipient of NFHCA honors. The Owls' captain finished the season
with four goals, three assists and 11 points.
Keene State (18-6) captured its fourth consecutive Little East
championship and NCAA tournament berth this season.
