Player of the Week

Jeff Perkins (Dunbarton, N.H.), Senior, Outfielder, Keene State College

Perkins paced the Keene State College attack with a team-high .538 (21-for-39) batting average with four doubles, three triples, 19 runs scored, and 18 RBI, while also registering a stolen base in four-of-five attempts. The Owls lead-off hitter registered nine multiple hit games, including a 4-for-5 game with two doubles and two RBI vs. Roger Williams. Perkins also drove in at least two runs in six of his past 12 games, including a season-high five against William Patterson.

Pitcher of the Week

Eric Fama (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.), Senior, Closer, Rhode Island College

Fama has yet to allow an earned run in seven relief appearances to help Rhode Island College post a 10-3 record. The senior closer has collected five saves in 5.2 innings with six strikeouts. On March 11, Fama stuck out the side to register a save against Elms College.

Rookie of the Week

Cody Callahan (Seekonk, Mass.), Freshman, Outfielder, Keene State College

Callahan hit safely in each of his 10 appearances in Keene's State annual trip to Phoenix to post a .510 (25-for-49) batting average with a 1.061 slugging percentage. The freshman outfielder from Seekonk, Mass. smacked 16 extra base hits-10 doubles, a triple, and five home runs-to drive in 24 runs. In his Owl debut, he went four-for-five from the dish and matched the school record with a seven-RBI performance against The College of New Jersey.
