5 Owls to face Pride in N.H. All-Star Game

KEENE, N.H. – Just back from the NCAA
Division III New England Regional Tournament, five senior members
of the Keene State College baseball team will be back on the
diamond on Tuesday in Nashua.
Pitchers Jamie Morin (Goffstown, N.H.) and
Phil Mabey (Williamstown, Mass.), third baseman
Joe Rousseau (Nashua, N.H.), shortstop
Ryan Jones (Nashua, N.H.), and outfielder/closer
Greg Ford (Nashua, N.H.). will join a group of New
Hampshire College All-Stars that will face the Nashua Pride in a
game scheduled for 7:05 at Holman Stadium.
“It’s a great opportunity for the guys to see how they
can do at the next level,” said KSC Coach Ken
Howe, who will coach the all-star team along with Bill
Maniotis of Rivier College and Barry Rosen of St. Anselm College.
“The Pride have several local players, so you never know what
can happen.”
One of those players looking to open up some eyes will be Morin,
the Owls’ ace. “I’m really looking forward to the
game and see how I can do against the Pride,” said Morin.
“I’m just going to keep everything in perspective and
just try to pitch up to my capability.”
Morin will be hard-pressed to duplicate his last outing when he
tossed a complete game four hitter with 13 strikeouts against St.
Joseph’s of Maine in the Owls’ 6-1 opening game win at
last week’s NCAA Division III New England Regional tournament
game in Harwich, Mass.
Morin, who posted a 6-0 record with a 2.44 ERA, was named to the
NCAA New England Regional All-Tournament for his impressive outing.
